PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Professor Ibrahim, a member of Taliban dialogue committee, on Thursday said that dialogue process has been delayed because the government is facing difficulties over the issue of prisoners’ release, Dunya News reported.

Talking to Dunya News in Peshawar, the Taliban negotiator said that Corps Commander Conference had signaled to accept every decision made by the government but if there are reservations over prisoners’ release then Pak Army should participate directly in the dialogue process.

He said that thousands of prisoners are being held at detention centres, adding that these detention centres should be handed over to civil authorities.

No date and venue has been decided for meeting with Taliban shura, however, the meeting would be held soon, he added.

The TTP negotiator said that Taliban have denied attacks at Islamabad fruit market and passenger train in Sibi.

Government can easily trace those elements, once dialogue process concludes successfully, he said.
