Judges detention case: Fourth interim challan presented against Musharraf

Summary ATC has summoned Pervez Musharraf on April 25.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Another interim challan against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf was presented before anti-terrorism court today (Monday) in connection with the judges detention case, Dunya News reported.

The challan was submitted after approval by Special Public Prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish.

As per details, another witness has been added in the challan. Number of witnesses now stand at 47.

Statements of 15 witnesses have already been recorded.

On Friday, the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad ordered Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf to appear in person on April 25 in the case regarding dismissal of over five dozen judges of superior courts in November, 2007 and illegally detaining most of them.

The court also directed Pervez Musharraf’s guarantors to ensure the former president’s production in its next hearing.

Musharraf moved to his farm house in Islamabad late on Wednesday evening after remaining in Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) for about 90 days.
