LAHORE (Web Desk) – Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Friday ordered removal of Punjab Assembly secretary, Dunya News reported.
The action was taken after Lytton Road police on Thursday arrested two sons of Rai Mumtaz, the Punjab Assembly secretary, for thrashing a traffic warden who issued them a fine ticket for violating one way rule.
Police said warden Waqas stopped a car carrying Rai Mumtaz and Rai Najam near Qartaba Chowk for traffic violation.
The brothers allegedly tortured the warden when he fined them. Police took the youth into custody and registered a case against them.
Taking note of the incident, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that no one is above law and action should be taken against those involved in the incident without any discrimination.
