Summary Over 71 children are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Tharparkar.

THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – At least five more children died of malnutrition in Mithi Hospital, mounting the overall death toll from famine to 194 in Tharparkar district of Sindh.

According to details, six-year-old Farman, three-year-old Naveed and Bhagwan died in Mithi while another child expired in Chahchro area on Monday.

Meanwhile, over 71 children are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Tharparkar.

Mass exodus is also underway as aid activities are facing delay due to negligence of Sindh government.

According to sources, fodder for cattle is kept in godowns and the distribution has yet not started.

Earlier, several locals of Tharparkar also staged protests. The protesters accused the feudal lords of distributing the aid to their own people.The demonstrators also told that neither government official nor any private organization has reached them so far.

The Thar desert begins around 300 kilometres (200 miles) from Karachi and runs up to the border with India, where it joins the Rajasthan desert.
