ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Sunday said that the upgraded security plan will be introduced from April 15. He said that federal police will also be given elite force style training, Dunya News reported.
Interior Minister chaired a high level meeting to review law and order situation and security situation in the federal capital where he directed to expedite work on initiating joint patrol of police and Rangers in Islamabad.
It was decided in the meeting that a new security system would be introduced in Islamabad. The meeting was told that the operational strategy for this purpose would be prepared by April 15.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the Federal Police would be trained on the pattern of Elite Police Force.
He said the government would provide necessary funds for police and Rangers’ joint patrolling system. He directed for immediate purchase of patrolling vehicles besides recruitment of trained retired army personnel in police.
Chaudhry Nisar said Rangers have been given extra responsibility in Federal Capital ensuring security of life and property of every resident.
The minister urged FIA to improve its working and directed that strict action should be taken against those involved in facilitating human trafficking.
He also directed convening of meeting of Board of Directors of NADRA next week to review performance of the authority.
The interior minister was informed that all staff and vehicles deputed with unauthorized personnel have been withdrawn‚ while NADRA has deployed twelve mobile registration vans for the registration of affectees in Thar.
