Govt's restructured committee to hold direct talks with Taliban

Summary Direct negotiation with Taliban will take place, eliminating the role of Taliban committee.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government’s restructured negotiation committee will negotiate with Taliban leadership in Waziristan directly in presence of Jirga and political administration, confirming Dunya News’s story about dissolution of negotiation committee that was aired a day earlier.
The new committee will now hold direct talks with Taliban leadership eliminating the role of Taliban committee.
Samiul Haq was notified in Akora Khattak meeting that his committee’s services are no longer needed.
Direct negotiations will take place in Waziristan and in presence of tribal elders and political administration.
According to reports, all small groups including Gul Bahadur group will be made to abide by the ceasefire using pressure of tribal traditions and elders.
According to sources, the real challenge for government is to control the foreign militants.
