KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain in his telephonic address on Saturday said that Pakistan and Taliban are each other’s nemesis implying the two cannot coexist. Another MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui announced to hold a rally against supporters of Taliban and in solidarity with the armed forces.
Addressing Raabta committee members via telephone at Nine Zero, Altaf Hussain said that security and existence of Pakistan will go in jeopardy if Taliban were to occupy Pakistan. He said that Taliban and Pakistan are each other’s archrivals.
MQM has been warning the nation of Talibanization danger for several years for which they have been repeatedly targeted, he said.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Deputy Convener of MQM’s Raabta Committee, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that a rally to show solidarity with army and to condemn Taliban supporters will be carried out tomorrow (Sunday).
Khalid Maqbool urged all parties to participate in the rally saying this will be akin to a referendum against terrorism. He maintained that the world will see that Pakistani nation resents terrorists and that this will be the beginning of a new journey for Pakistan.
