PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – One of the members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s political shura Azam Tariq Mehsud has contacted a member of the Taliban negotiating committee professor Ibrahim. During the telephonic conversation, the TTP member demanded him to hold talks with the Taliban.

Addressing the media, professor Ibrahim said the TTP member showed his desire to complete dialogue process before initiating a debate over constitution. The Taliban wanted the government to give priority to peace talks, he added.

Taliban negotiator said the government should resolve all the matters through dialogue, adding that they will convince Taliban to accept constitution once the government follows it in true letter and spirit.

Prof Ibrahim said the government was showing cold behavior, saying that they were members of the committee, not the Taliban themselves.
