Army getting infuriated, govt must take decision over Taliban: Khurshid

SUKKUR (Dunya News) - Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah reiterated that peace talks hold no meaning in the current circumstances, adding that the government and his team should decide over the sensitive matter of Taliban as early as possible.

He said he could feel that the armed forces were getting infuriated over the killing of their soldiers.

Addressing the media at Sukkur airport, Khursheed shah said steps should be taken that ensure writ of the state and the government.

Earlier, Khursheed Shah said his party supported the government to hold talks with the Taliban despite criticism from several political parties. Shah lamented that the peace talks were useless following the recent terrorist attacks across the country.

He said Nawaz Sharif should take a firm decision on this sensitive issue like a true leader, adding that the PPP would completely support the government whatever decision it takes to curb terrorism.

PPP leader said democracy would not be derailed at any cost.
