Chances of success of Taliban negotiations are low: Lord Nazir

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Member British House of Lords, Lord Nazir Ahmed said on Sunday that the chances of success regarding negotiating with Taliban are low adding that these kinds of negotiations are unprecedented anywhere in the world.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad Lord Nazir said that Muslim Ummah should form its own joint market akin to the European Union. He said that oversees Pakistanis have to face ill-treatment at airports.
Lord Nazir also criticized Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar saying he’s been trying to meet Interior Minister for the past six months adding that “he probably doesn’t even like to meet the Prime Minister.”
Member House of Lords said that Muslim world should also establish an EU-styled joint market. He said that Pakistan can play a role to end disputes between Saudi Arabia and Iran adding that some forces want Shia-Sunni conflict to prevail in the Muslim world. Iran progressed remarkably despite global sanctions, he added.
Lord Nazir said that he doesn’t have animosity with any individual or political entity. Corruption was endorsed in the past five years and there are reports of some ministers’ involvement in corruption even in the present government, he claimed.
