PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – During a joint operation, Islamabad and Rawalpindi police arrested 51 suspects including six foreigners while Peshawar police also rounded up around 29 suspected persons, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
Police of twin cities conducted search operation on a tip off regarding presence of criminal elements in Sohan and New Shakaryal areas and arrested around 51 suspected persons.
High officials and around 400 personnel including 50 commandoes participated in the operation.
During the operation, six Afghanis under Foreigners Act while 45 suspects were nabbed.
Seven motorcycles, one pickup, two pistols, 1 ½ kg of Marijuana, 50kgs heroin, 50 bottles of alcohol, and spare parts of stolen cars were confiscated from the arrested.
The arrested have been shifted to Shahzad Town police station.
On the other hand, Peshawar police conducted raid in different areas located on Kohat Road and arrested 29 suspects.
Few of the arrested were residing without having national identity cards.
