KARACHI (Dunya News) – A breakthrough was achieved in Friday's suicide blast after police identified the alleged suicide bomber.

At least two people including a child were killed while 25 other injured in a suicide attack on Station House Office (SHO) Shafiq Tanoli in Karachi on Friday.

The alleged suicide attacker was identified as Jamil who started work at a poultry shop four days back near his house.
According to police, Jamil was a resident of Old Sabzi Mandi area of Karachi.

The police also revealed that the chassis number of motorbike used in the suicide attack was erased. They also said a thorough investigation would be held with all those injured in the attack.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) said explosives were attached under the seat of motorbike that were controlled by remote. Four-five kilograms of explosives were used in the blast

Meanwhile, Shafiq Tanoli got his initial statement recorded. Police officer Tanoli said the suicide bomber jumped from the bike after it accidentally slipped on the road. As soon as the bike collided with the vehicle, the explosives went off.
