Summary Situation on the Line of Control will be discussed in the meeting of DGMOs of Pakistan and India.
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - The Director General Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan on Tuesday invited his Indian counterpart for a meeting on December 24 to discuss increased incidents of Line of Control (LoC) violations.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISRR), the decision has been made to discuss the growing tension on Line of Control besides violation of the line from Indian troops.
Many civilians were injured in the unprovoked firing of Indian troops on the border villages of Pakistan. The meeting, if held, is likely to be placed in Pakistan as the invitation suggest.
The move came hours after cabinet’s committee on national security has decided to deescalate tension on eastern border with India and on LoC.
