ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Members belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a token walkout from the House today (Tuesday) over delimitation of constituencies in Karachi, Dunya News reported.

Earlier Dec 4, the party had challenged the delimitation of Karachi s constituencies in the Sindh High Court, terming it unlawful.

Preparations for local bodies elections were previously delayed due to a split between the government and the opposition over the delimitation of constituencies in the city’s South and East districts.

Now, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will announce the schedule for the Sindh local government polls by December 18.
