Summary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had filed a petition for thumb verification in four constituencies.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A three-member bench of Supreme Court on Monday heard case of thumb verification in four constituencies filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The court ordered to submit the report regarding thumb verification in NA-125 and NA-154.

The SC bench remarked why the process of vote verification was not conducted in these constituencies despite the court orders. The court directed Secretary Election Commission to submit the para wise reply.

Talking to media outside Supreme Court, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said massive rigging would take place in local bodies elections in Punjab.

The PTI chief said his party accepted the results of general elections keeping in view the current situation of the country.
Imran said democracy cannot flourish until transparent elections were held in the country.

Referring to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar s order to transfer finger print verification to election commission, he said it was the responsibility of the NADRA, not election commission.

Imran Khan said all political parties stated that the general elections were rigged but the tribunal didn’t take any notice of it. He said he hoped the new chief justice will provide fair justice.

There were 400 petitions against the general elections in election tribunal, the PTI chief added.
