Jamaat-e-Islami to launch countrywide movement against privatisation

LAHORE (Dunya News/ Web Desk) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced to launch a countrywide movement against privatization of state institutions.

Addressing an anti-privatisation APC arranged by JI at its headquarter Mansoora on Wednesday, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawar Hassan said the rulers had lost their power of thinking and understanding as they were taking decisions against the interest of the country.

He said that the pressure of US Secretary of state on the PML-N government has exposed its position.

Syed Munawar Hassan said that the organizations privatized in the past didn’t in anyway benefited the country and the nation. He said that the government policy of privatization would render as many as 0.6 million people jobless.

Jamaat-e-Islami announced to launch a countrywide movement against privatization.

The leaders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), other political parties and the labour organizations also participated in the seminar.

The constitution of a national committee on anti-privatization was also announced in the seminar.
