Summary Weapons and drugs were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
KARACHI (Dunya News) Rangers and police conducted targeted raids in different areas of Karachi and arrested 70 accused including 24 absconders.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson‚14 accused were arrested during targeted operation in different areas including Lyari, Korangi Industrial Area, FC Area, Frontier Colony and Banaras. Weapons of different caliber were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
Meanwhile police also conducted raids in different areas and arrested 55 accused including 10 absconders while drugs and weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Earlier, two bodies were found from Gulistan Colony and Rangiwara areas of Lyari. The police said the victims were shot dead after being abducted. The body found from Gulistan Colony was identified as Mushtaq while the other could not be identified and was shifted to hospital for autopsy.
The police and Rangers also conducted joint raid in an apartment in Gulistan Johar. After an exchange of fire, assailant was arrested and his car was impounded.
Two people including a constable accused of killing former police personnel were arrested from Mahmoodabad.
In Defence, three street criminals were arrested during an alleged police encounter. Huge cache of arms and cash were confiscated.
Furthermore, three suspected vehicles were taken in custody by police from Qayoumabad.
