Summary Affidavit submitted with the plea was of Musharraf’s brother-in-law, AG told court.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Bench hearing former president Pervez Musharraf’s ECL plea transferred the case to Chief Justice of Sindh High Court on Monday.

Two member bench comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Salahuddin Babar resumed hearing on Musharraf’ plea for removal of name from Exist Control List (ECL).

During case proceedings, Musharraf’s lawyer argued that open court did not order to include his client’s name in the ELC when Sindh High Court announced its decision on March 29, 2013.

The move to include name in ECL was mentioned in the written order, he added.

Attorney General Munir A Malik raised an objection, saying that affidavit submitted with the plea was of Musharraf’s brother-in-law.

The bench allowed Munir A. Malik to submit a written objection.

As Musharraf wants review over March 29th ruling, the plea is being transferred to Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to determine new bench for hearing, the court stated.
