Summary Chief of Army Staff General Kayani will retire on November 29.
(Web Desk) - Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani paid his farewell visit to Naval Headquarters in Islamabad today (Monday).
He was welcomed by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Asif Sandhila. Both discussed matters related to professional armed forces.
General Kayani, who oversaw Pakistan s first democratic transfer of power, will retire on November 29.
He was appointed Chief of the Army Staff in 2007 and was given an additional three-year term in 2010.
