Summary PTI’s secretary information says the federal government has done no substantive protest on drones.

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Central information secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shireen Mazari, has said that Prime Minister (PM) and his government have remained silent spectators to the US attacks on Pakistan s sovereignty.

Expressing disappointment over the PM s response to the US drone attack in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, PTI information secretary said, “US has crossed the red lines by attacking the settled area of Pakistan, while PM has given a muted response on it.”

She said, PM had failed to even issue a strong condemnation of the increasing brazenness of the US government in attacking Pakistan s province of KPK with a drone.

“Even no demarche has been issued against the drone attack on Hangu district of KPK earlyThursday morning,” she added.

Mazari stated that PM Nawaz Sharif government has done absolutely no substantive protest on drones, beyond a few fiery rhetorical remarks by the Interior Minister who seems to have no backing from his party leadership on this issue.

PM had so far merely mentioned drones in passing in his United Nation’s (UN) General Assembly speech, while government had failed to bring the issue before the UN Security Council under Chapter VII, she concluded.
