ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that Rawalpindi incident is being swept under the carpet.
He gave these remarks during hearing of lawyers’ torture case on Friday.
The Chief Justice stated that he has spent 14 years but incident like this never took place during that time.
He said that incident could have been averted if the police was capable enough to do so.
The CJP appreciated Sindh police efforts, saying that they continue to perform their duties amid tense situations.
He said government has changed but policies remain unchanged.
Issues are being handed over to committees for resolution, he added.
