RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – The city can be now seen gradually returning to normalcy after Friday’s sectarian clashes that left it under curfew all weekend.
Regular vehicular movement was seen on the roads, petrol pumps and CNG stations also opened giving a major relief to motorists.
All educational institutes were conducting classes as per schedule. Offices and factories were open for business.
However, army deployment and enforcement of section 144 continues in the city.
On the other hand, Punjab government issued a notification regarding demotion of negligent police officers.
According to notification, RPO Rawalpindi Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh and CPO Rawalpindi Bilal Siddiq Kamiyana were made OSDs.
Both police officers have also been directed to submit report in IG Office today.
