LAHORE (Dunya News) – Protest rallies against Rawalpindi incident were held in different cities on Monday. A protest rally was taken out from Saraki Chowk to DCO Chowk in Bahawalpur while a protest rally was also held in Larkana. The protesters shouted slogans and demanded action against the culprits.

Several religious parties held a joint protest rally in Chichawatni amid tight security. The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards and shouted slogans against those involved in the incident.

ٓA protest rally was also held in Toba Tek Singh from Ghala Mandi Chowk to Sadar Bazar. The participants of the rally demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the Rawalpindi chaos.

Meanwhile, Lawyers in Lahore boycotted lower courts on the appeal of Punjab Bar Council while the lawyers’ community also boycotted courts in Bahawalnagar.

Multan District Bar also observed complete strike against tragic incident in Rawalpindi. The lawyers demanded immediate action against the culprits.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Monday, JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq stressed the need for evolving a code of conduct for public meetings and processions. He appealed the people to demonstrate patience and tolerance.
Samiul Haq said one should not hurt the sentiments of others. He said protests and demonstrations will not resolve the issue. He urged the government to soon expose the real culprits involved in the Rawalpindi tragedy.

Moreover, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat announced to hold protest on Friday against Rawalpindi tragedy.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, chief of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Ahmad Ludhiyanvi demanded complete ban on processions in the country.

Addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad, Mufti Mehmood-ul-Hassan said that those involved in the incident played the role of foreign agents to defend the NATO supply. He demanded formation of a judicial commission comprising judges of high courts headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan to probe the incident.

Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai of Qasim Mosque in Peshawar also announced to hold protest on Friday. In a statement, he demanded to expose those involved in the incident.
