LAHORE (Web Desk) - On the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif‚ a special team has been formed to arrest the culprits of the Rawalpindi tragedy. Additional I.G. Counter-Terrorism‚ Aftab Cheema will lead the team.
According to a Punjab Government spokesman ‚ this team will take action against the culprits without any discrimination.
The sectarian clash that prompted the curfew occurred Friday.
Ten people were killed in the clash and 56 people were wounded, said the Rana Sanaullah, the law minister for Punjab province, where Rawalpindi is located.
Earlier, situation again got tense in Rawalpindi as protestors took to the streets on Monday. The city wore deserted look and eighty percent of markets remained shut, Dunya News reported.
On the other hand, army continued patrolling sensitive areas to avert any untoward incident.
On Monday the government lifted curfew in the city, however, army troops will continue to patrol the city for several more days, and there is still a ban on more than four people assembling in one place.

Sources told that police and district administration have provided initial details to the fact finding committee, according to which, more than two hundred people attacked Madrassa Taleem-ul-Quran during 10th Muharram procession.
Majority of attackers belonged to other cities, however, they are being traced with the help of CCTV cameras.
Police teams will also visit Parachinar and Gilgit-Baltistan and seek assistance of intelligence agencies to arrest the culprits, sources told.
