Summary PTI would not tolerate any corruption at any level, Imran Khan said.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday took notice of corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

It was mentioned in a statement issued on PTI website that “it had come to his (Imran Khan) attention that some Ministers in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa are indulging in corruption.”

PTI chief has demanded the Chief Minister to immediately investigate and take action against those Ministers.

Imran Khan also reminded that PTI was given an electoral mandate on two main commitments: One, to bring peace to the country, especially Khyber Pukhtunkhwa; and, two, to stamp out corruption.

Imran Khan stated that there can be absolutely no compromise on these two commitments.

He pointed out that already the government has lost Rs 8 billion in just one corruption case involving Swiss accounts and now will lose another Rs 4 billion in fines as a result of expedient compromises on the same case.

“All this money could have gone towards investment in education and betterment of the nation.” Imran Khan said.

He was adamant that PTI would not tolerate any corruption at any level but would act immediately to punish the guilty.
