Summary Police have foiled a major terrorist plot by arresting 5 prospective terrorists from Faisalabad.
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – CPO Doctor Haydar Ashraf Tuesday revealed in a press conference that five terrorists belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban have been arrested from Muhammadabad police station area.
According to the CPO, Usman, Ali Azam, Mubbashar, Nadeem and Muhammad Usman were arrested during a police raid.
He said the held terrorists were planning to target government offices, Muharrum processions, and to kidnap officials of law enforcement agencies.
Police claimed that the held terrorists belonged to TTP.
Police have recovered hand grenades, pistols, a Kalashnikov, mobile phones and ammunition from the custody of suspected terrorists.
The held persons have confessed to crimes like theft and kidnapping for ransom.
