Summary Says US is losing its credibility in Pakistan which has been playing the role of front-line state.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Khan has said that drone attack has disrupted pace talks with Taliban.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said that all the political parties including PPP, PTI, JI and wholeheartedly guided and favoured the government for solution of challenges faced by the country.
He said that he is thankful to all political stakeholders and law enforcement agencies particularly Pakistan army who backed the government from every point of view.
Appreciating the ideal role of religious scholars, he said that three-member committee of Ulma had been formed who were to leave for have a dialogue with the Taliban but all the plan was disrupted by drone attacks.
He said that drone attack is actually an ambush on peace talks.
Giving reference to his meeting US envoy, he said that the US had assured him that no drone attack would be done during peace process with the banned outfits TTP but later, they breached the contract and hit chief TTP Hakimullah Mahud while setting aside all rules and international laws.
He said that army leadership assured him of every kind of cooperation for peace process and even took back Pakistani troops from front line border, giving an impression that army has no intention to launch an operation against armed groups.
He said that dialogue with Pakistani Taliban is not an easy task as more than 50 groups are active in northern areas of the countries.
He said that Hakimullah Mehsud could be hit when he used to go to Afghanistan but the US did not do this.
While quoting reference to the Holy Quran, he said that murder of single man is tantamount to murder of all the humanity.
He said current drone attack in which Taliban leader was killed was not done on the direction of government of Pakistan; rather, the government is feeling the agonies and sufferings of innocent people who have been fallen victims to terrorism.
He said that he has had a meeting with an old man whose 70 family members fell victims to terrorism.
Appreciating PTI role in campaign against drone attacks and peace process, he said that its leadership should show patience.
He said that today meeting has decided the US envoy should be called and told that the US has sabotaged peace process without any justification.
Secondly, all our ambassadors should raise the issue on international level and contest the national issue with full support.
Thirdly, all the political parties would be taken into confidence, adding the current and complicated issue would be put before them for further consultation.
Requesting the media, he said that Pakistan is passing through hard crises. It is not time of point scoring. They must keep in view the national interests.
