(Web Desk) - Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that judiciary is striving to ensure supremacy of law and provision of fundamental rights.
Addressing a workshop on Prisoners Vulnerability--Lacking Awareness in Islamabad on Saturday (November 2)‚ the Chief Justice called upon the judges to take steps for bringing in betterment in the plight of prisoners.
The Chief Justice called for early hearing of the cases of the prisoners. He said that the recommendations of the workshop will provide substantial solution to the problems of the prisoners.
Chief Justices and judges of the Supreme Court‚ Federal Shariat Court and High Courts‚ Chief Justice and judges of Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and other officials attended the workshop.
