Summary Targeted operation by Rangers and police is underway in different areas of Lyari.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The gang war groups have once again started their activities in Lyari area of the city.
At least eight people were injured in rocket and hand grenade attacks.
The rockets attacks occurred at Tannery Road while two women and a child were also injured in the attacks. Targeted operation by Rangers and police is underway in Lyari after clash of two rival gang war groups.
The targeted operation has also been launched in different areas including Eidoo Lane, Aman Park and Phool Pati Lane while the administration distributed food among residents of the affected areas.
A key gang war accused Kamran Lashari and brother of Faisal Pathan were also arrested during the operation.
In another raid, accused Chota Jheengu was arrested from Sangu Lane and weapons were recovered from his possession.
Another key gang war accused Akhtar alias Aku was killed in encounter in Gul Muhammadi Lane.
Meanwhile, thirteen activists of a banned outfit were arrested during door to door search in Site area. The accused were involved in the killing of police officials and other severe crimes.
According to Rangers Sector Commander West, the criminals would be arrested or killed.
On the other hand, residents of the affected areas were migrating due to worsening law and order situation while panic gripped several areas due to firing, rocket and hand grenade attacks.
According to the residents, education of their children was badly affected and their lives were in danger due to present situation of law and order.
