NEW YORK (Web Desk) - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has offered to play a role to facilitate a dialogue between India and Pakistan for resolution of all outstanding issues.

In an interview‚ he welcomed the talks between the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan during UN General Assembly session.

Ban Ki-moon expressed concern about civilian casualties caused by drone strikes and urged countries using this technology to abide by international humanitarian law.

The Secretary General said the United Nations has been supporting and trying to facilitate the dialogue between the Afghan government and the Taliban for establishing peace and security in the country.

On the Afghan refugees in Pakistan‚ the Secretary General appreciated the Government of Pakistan for accommodating the 1.6 million refugees.
