Summary Khurshid Shah bilateral relations with developed countries should be on equality basis.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News): Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has said that the restoration of aid on which the PML-N government is making merriments was actually part and parcel of Kerry-Lugar Bill. Some of its installments had been blocked over not accepting US demands.
Addressing a Pakistan Student Federation (PSF) convention in Peshawar on Tuesday, he said that slain leader Benazir Bhutto had not signed NRO for the sake of power but for the restoration of democracy.
It was Benazir Bhutto who paved the way for Sharif Brothers to come back to the country, said Oppo.
He contended that no dictator can dare to come to power from back door or by force. Now the politics would be exercised in the field rather than computers.
He made it clear that the chapter of Swiss cases against former president Asif Zardari is closed, adding that nothing to be worried if the cases were reopened.
He said that Pakistan should hold talks with US over drone strikes and other issues keeping in view the national interests and keeping up the sovereignty of the country. He said that for economic development Pakistan would have to further strengthen ties with China.
He said that besides other factors increase in value of dollar also affects the national economy.
Commenting over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s US visit, he said that we hope that PM and his delegation will arrive back with positive results.
Khurshid Shah said that it would have been much better if the PML-N government had continued the trend of taking opposition into confidence ahead of making any decision of national and masses interest.
He said that Pakistan should move ahead along with the developed nations across the globe but bilateral relations should be on equality basis.
