Summary Turkey already is providing economic and technical assistance to Pakistan in different sectors.

LAHORE (Dunya News) Government of the Punjab and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding in different sectors including vocational training, archaeology, Red Crescent progress and performance and Housing Department. 

In this regard, a special ceremony was arranged in Lahore on Sunday in which Chief Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Chairman Lahore Transport Company chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, Turkish ambassador S Babar G Gargan, secretary housing and Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) were also present.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Turkish ambassador and chairman Planning and Development Irfan Elahi.

According to the pact, the Turkish institution would provide preparation of syllabus, training of trainers, courses and tools for scientific practice and workshops.

Moreover, the institution would also exchange delegations of experts in the field of archaeology, protect old and historical buildings and provided train the staff in related fields.

On the occasion, chief minister Shahbaz Sharif was of the view that these pacts with Turkish companies and departments would encourage billions of dollars investment in the country, strengthening mutual ties between the two countries.
