DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) - Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said that talks are the only way for peace in the region.
Talking to newsmen at Kulachi in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday‚ he urged the government to initiate negotiations with Taliban without further delay.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should personnaly lead the initiative for peace and elimination of terrorism.
“No political government had exercised the option of dialogue and if the present government had taken this step it should give it an opportunity to succeed.”
About opening of Taliban office in Pakistan, Imran said if Taliban can open their office in Qatar by the support of United States to hold negotiations, why not in Pakistan.
In reaction of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speech, the PTI chairman said those who wanted to see war in the country were calling those in favour of dialogue cowards.
