BANNU: At least five people were killed in Bannu when a gunman opened fire at local Jirga here on Monday, Geo News reported.
According to police, a Jirga was held at Taji area of Bannu district to resolve a dispute between two groups.
The police said that a man opened fire after exchange of bitter words with his opponents, killing at least five people.
The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for autopsy.
Killings as a result of disputes between different clans and tribes, is a common phenomenon in tribal areas of Pakistan.
