Summary Invitations have been issued to political leaders but media has not been invited for coverage.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government has called all parties conference on September 9 to discuss law and order situation of the country and devise a comprehensive strategy for overcoming terrorism.

The All Parties Conference has been elevated to “National Security Meeting”. The conference would begin at Prime Minister’s House on September 9 at 11am.

Invitations for the conference have been sent to the leaderships of political parties. The political parties have agreed to attend the conference however ANP chief Asfand Yar Wali Khan excused from participating.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned PML-F chief Pir Pagara and discussed with him the overall political situation in the country.

The PM invited Pir Pagara to attend the all parties conference that has been called to devise a police to counter menace of terrorism.

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan contacted Jamat-e-Islami chief Munawar Hassan and invited him to participate in the conference. Munwar Hassan accepted the invitation of attending the meeting.

ANP chief Asfand Yar Wali Khan said that Haji Adeel was acting president of ANP after the dissolution of party’s organizational bodies.

Haji Adeel Ahmad said that he did not receive formal invitation of the conference and will decide to attend the meeting with consultation of the leadership as soon as he receives the invitation.

According to the sources, PTI chief Imran Khan assured Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to attend the conference.

The Interior Minister also invited leaders of main political parties including, Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Dr Farooq Sattar, Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo and Mehmood Khan Achakzai.

Chaudhry Nisal Ali Khan also invited Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Imtiaz Sheikh, Allama Sajid Mir to attend the conference.

Earlier, the APC scheduled for July 12 was delayed when PTI Chairman announced that he would be leaving for the UK before the conference.

However, PTI leaders later claimed that the APC was postponed because the government wasn’t ready with its presentation and said that other people from PTI could have attended in Khan’s stead.
