KARACHI (Dunya News) - Defence Day of Pakistan is being observed with zeal and fervour today to pay homage and tributes to the Shuhada and Ghazis who rendered supreme sacrifice in defence of the motherland.
Special prayers were offered for the solidarity, integrity and prosperity of the motherland in all mosques.
Floral wreaths were laid and Fateha was offered at the graves and Monuments of recipients of Nishan-e-Haider, the highest gallantry award. The messages from respective Service Chiefs were also read out to the troops.

Air officer commanding PAF Academy Risalpur Air Vice Marshal Rashid Kamal inspected the parade and took salute.

The female cadets were also the part of the contingent which has assumed the guards duty today.

In Swabi‚ Brig. Abdul Naeem Bhatti laid floral wreath at the mazar of Col. Sher Khan.
