KARACHI (Dunya News) - A naval officer was killed and his wife was injured in a firing incident near Karachi s National Stadium on Wednesday.
According to initial details, unidentified armed men – riding a motorbike – opened fire on Captain Nadeem’s car. The attackers flee the scene after the incident.
A navy investigation team and police arrived at the spot soon after the attack.
Earlier today, a Ranger official and three suspected criminals were killed in an exchange of fire in Lyari.
Meanwhile, twelve other people were killed in recent spate of violence in the metropolis.
According to the police, a man was gunned down in Shah Faisal Colony area of Karachi. The deceased was identified as Umair whose body was taken to Jinnah hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, two bodies were found near old Haji Camp located in Old City Area and Pak colony.
Furthermore, eight persons allegedly involved in gang war crimes were arrested during police operation in Mawacch Goth.
Huge cache of arms was seized from the arrested while a proclaimed offender involved in street crimes was arrested during police encounter in Saifi area of Baghdadi.
