KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will present the draft of the Local Government (LG) bill in the Sindh Assembly session today (Monday).
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House in Karachi on Sunday.
Talking to Dunya News, Sindh Advocate General, Khalid Javed said that the draft of new LG bill is fully in accordance with Article 140-A of the constitution.
On the other hand, MQM has rejected the PPP-proposed LG Bill and the assembly session is expected to be rife with heated debate over the LG law.
