Summary Islamabad police claims to have held the mastermind of Bara Kahu suicide attack from Faisalabad.
FAISALABAD (Web Desk) - An Islamabad police team has arrested the mastermind behind the Bara Kahu suicide attack during a raid in Faisalabad, police claimed Monday.
According to police the arrested suspect was around 30 years old.
A suicide bomber successfully entered a mosque in Islamabad but was shot dead before exploding by the mosque guard.
The bomber entered the Jamia Mosque Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib Friday after the Jumma prayers.
Earlier the police identified the bomber with the help of DNA test and NADRA record as one belonging to Bhwana tehsil of Chiniot.
Police have arrested the father and two brothers of the dead bomber and are interrogating them under charges of abetment to a crime.
SSP Islamabad Dr Rizwan has also suspended six officials including the SHO of Barakahu Abid Hussain and a probe has started into the matter.
No police officer was present at the time of the attack.
