WANA (Dunya News) According to the details of the incident, some unknown miscreants fixed an explosive device outside Zafar Wazir’s residents, the Dunya News correspondent. The device exploded with a big explosion and destroyed two of the rooms.
The residents in the house miraculously survived the attack, it was reported. The security personeel reached the scene of the explosion and the investigations underway.
Time and again the journalists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas asked the government to unmask the killers and ensure security to the community.
Earlier, unidentified persons shot dead Malik Mumtaz in Miranshah in North Waziristan Agency. In Peshawar, the Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) and Peshawar Press Club (PPC) condemned the killing of Malik Mumtaz.
Several journalists had been killed in the tribal areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 10 years. The journalists urged the government to ensure safety of the working journalists and asked the government to announce “Shuhada Package” for the journalists. They stressed that the media owners and government should announce a package for slain journalists so that their family could be provided support.
