GUANGZHOU (Dunya News) - Chinese major power transmission and distribution company "China Southern Power Grid" has agreed to help Pakistan overcome energy crisis.
The assurance came during Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif s visit to the company in Guangzhou‚ where he was briefed about power transmission and distribution.
The Prime Minister said energy crisis is the biggest challenge Pakistan is facing right now and his government wants to overcome it as early as possible.
He said unfortunately the previous government did not pay attention to resolve this crisis so it has worsened.
Nawaz urged the company to seize the opportunities in energy sector in Pakistan and desired for a mechanism to control the line losses in the country.
He said there is huge potential in Pakistan to generate power through water‚ coal and wind.
