Summary Forms 3-member committee to hold dialogue with MQM directs indiscriminate action against criminals
KARACHI (Dunya News/Online ) – President Asif Ali Zardari has directed to call for All Parties Conference (APC) for restoration of peace in Karachi and constituted a three member committee to hold dialogue with Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM).
“Violation of law & order cannot be bear and operation against culprits must be ensured”, Zardari directed.
He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding law & order situation of the port city here on Saturday.
According to media reports, Zardari setup a committee consisting upon Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah and Senator Rehman Malik to hold meeting with MQM.
The President ordered to take all the steps for the urgent elimination of all wrong doers and operation would be carried out without political affiliations, he added.
Asif Ali Zardari also asserted upon the intelligence institutions to ensure the exchange of intelligence so the menace of terrorism can be root out from the society.
The meeting also discussed the worst law and order situation specifically in Liyari and generally in the whole Karachi so that the incidents of target killing and terrorism should be stopped in the holy month of Ramadan.
President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday attended a high-level meeting with CM Sindh and others to discuss the worsening law and order situation in Karachi, particularly in Layari.
He called for coordination among intelligence agencies to protect life and property of the people.
He urged law-enforcement agencies to take action against criminals without any discrimination to ensure safety of the people.
He said the culprits should be arrested irrespective of how much they are influential.
The president directed that life and property of the people should be protected at all cost. No negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
Inspector General Sindh Police Shahid Nadeem Baloch and DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhter briefed the President about the prevailing law and order situation in the province particularly Karachi.
