Summary At least 18 people were killed in acts of violence in different parts of Karachi.

 

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The ongoing targeted killing and acts of violence have claimed 18 more lives in the city.

 

According to details, some unidentified gunmen opened fire in Bilal Colony and shot dead a man and injured eight others. The miscreant hurled a hand grenade when a police party reached the spot as a result eight more people were injured. The injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

 

Firing at Abul Isphahani Road claimed life of a youth named Imran while an activist of a religious party was gunned down in Agra Taj Colony.

 

In Baldia Rashidabad, a man was killed in firing incident. Rangers have arrested three persons involved in firing.

 

Some unidentified gunmen shot dead Maulana Yasir in Shah Faisal Colony while a youth named Nadeem was gunned down near Ghass Mandi.

 

Another man was shot dead near Dua Hotel on Maripur Road while a car rider named Muhammad Altaf was killed near Gate No 15 in Kimari area. In yet another incident of firing, two men were shot dead in Bhans Colony.

 

Police have also recovered two dead bodies, stuffed in gunny bags, from Ibrahim Haidri while two other bodies were recovered from Sher Shah and Mirza Adam Khan Road. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.

 

Meanwhile, rangers launched targeted operations in different parts of Lyari and recovered three kidnapped persons who were abducted from Old City Area and Defence respectively.
