ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A delegation of Balochistan National Party-Mengal including Sajid Tareen‚ Sana Baloch‚ Abdul Rauf Mengal and Essa Noori called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday on behalf of the party President Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif urged BNP-M to play its active role in the national mainstream and lauded its participation in general elections.
The PM said his party offered the post of the Chief Minister Balochistan to Dr Abdul Malik Baloch despite winning majority seats in the province. He said the decision was taken in the greater interest of the province and country.
Nawaz Sharif said restoring peace and achieving economic prosperity was on the top of his government's agenda. He said progress and development in the province was not possible without taking all the political forces on board.
The delegation expressed its party's reservations on the issue of missing persons and sought his guidance to resolve it.
