LAHORE (Dunya News) – People across the country are facing worst ever electricity load shedding this summer with power shortfall exceeding 4,000MW and the duration of load shedding rising to 18 hours a day in most areas.

 

According to latest statistics, the total power supply is 12,900MW against a demand of 17,000MW. The gap between generation and demand has resulted into a shortfall of 4,100MW due to which loadshedding is being carried out on alternate hours.

 

The citizens of rural areas are facing more than 20 hours of loadshedding while in urban areas, loadshedding is being carried out for 18 hours.
