ISLAMABAD (Online): President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Makkhdoom Ameen Fahim has said that if extension is given to Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry, it will become a practice.

“Time will tell whether tall claims made with the people during the election campaign.”

Fahim said Opposition would keep on reminding the government of the promises which PML-N made with the masses.

Though the PPP had strong reservations regarding the transparency of the May 11 general elections, yet the party accepted everything only for the sake of national interests, he maintained.

“It will be unfair to put all the responsibility of the past five years over the shoulders of the PPP government because situation of the region was grave and critical when the PPP government assumed the office.”

He said as Opposition party PPP would not only criticize the government but would also appreciate the positive steps by the government.
