Summary Renowned poet, columnist and writer Riazur Rehman died after he suffered from cancer for long time.
According to facts and figures, 72-year-old popular writer composed more than 2000 songs. He laid foundation of poetic column writing in the country. He created a large number of songs for Pakistani film industry. His songs played a pivotal role particularly in musical film Sargam, Intiha, Muhabbatan Sachian and Ghongat.
Rahat Ali Khan, Adnan Sami, Waris Baig, Sheeraz Uppal and Freeha Pervez earned great fame by singing his songs.
