ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The nomination papers for the National Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker slots will be filed today (Sunday) till 12:00noon and scrutiny of the papers will be completed till 2:00pm.
The election for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly will be held on June 3. According to constitution, the election shall be by secret ballot.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has nominated Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for the post of Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi for Deputy Speaker slot.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Sheharyar Afridi and Munaza Hassan for Speaker and Deputy Speaker slots respectively.
Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have also collected the nomination papers for their candidates for Speaker and Deputy Speaker slots.
