PPP wins one NA and four PA seats from Sindh after re-polling

Summary PPP’s Faqir Sher Muhammad and PTI’ Shah Mehmood have won from NA 229 and NA 230 respectively.

 

THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – According to unofficial results from two Tharparkar National Assembly constituencies, Pakistan People’s Party candidate has won the National Assembly seat from NA-229 and PTI candidate has won NA-230 seat after re-polling in some polling stations on Saturday.

 

PPP’s Faqir Sher Muhammad won from NA-229 by securing 86,742 votes. He was followed by independent candidate Arbab Khan who bagged 84,877 votes.

 

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi was declared winner from NA-230. He got 60,250 votes. His rival from PPP, Noor Muhammad Shah Jamali remained second with 49,400 votes.

 

Pakistan People’s Party’s Makhdoom Naimatullah won from PS-62-Tharparkar by securing 36,448 votes. He was followed by independent candidate Arbab Anwar Jabbar with 28,416 votes.

 

PPP’s Dost Muhammad Rehmon was declared winner from PS-63-Tharparkar. He secured 31,834 votes against independent candidate Ghulam Haider Sameejo who got 27,474 votes.

 

Re-polling at three polling stations of PS-17-kandhkot was also held on Saturday. According to unofficial result PPP’s Sardar Abid Khan Sundarani won by securing 20,531 votes. His rival, Ghaus Bakhsh Bijarani of JUI got 18,849 votes.

 

Meanwhile, recounting of votes was also held in PS-14-Jacobabad constituency on the orders of Sindh High Court after which PPP’S Sardar Muqeem Khoso was declared winner by securing 15,838 votes. PML-N’s candidate Muhammad Aslam Abro remained second by getting 15,776 votes.
