Summary Phase of loahshedding is multiplying in the country as intensity of weather is becoming unbearable.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-Lives of people in rural areas have become full of sufferings and agonies as they are bound to face nerve-breaking loadshedding of more than 20 hours while the situation of urban areas population is not different from those of their countrymen.
According to minister of water and power, the generation of power is 9400 mw while consumption is more than 15000 mw. So the shortfall of electricity is getting out of control owing to financial and fuel supply constraints in the very beginning of summer.
A senior government official told Dunya News Tuesday that demand for electricity has not increased but power generation has declined because of reduction in supply of furnace oil, lower output by hydropower units and non-provision of natural gas as payable of the sector have gone beyond Rs250 billion in recent days.
Meanwhile, the water and power ministry has largely been divided into two camps, leading to a situation where top officials seldom talk to each other or sit down together to solve day-to-day affairs of the power sector.
